STL's air purifier range capture even the smallest particles (including PM2.5 particulates) by applying an electrostatic charge to airborne particles, which then adhere to oppositely charged filter blades. The included ultrasonic humidifier function helps maintain a comfortable humidity level during drier months.

PRODUCT INFO
Traditional HEPA filters clean air by using strong noisy fans to push air past HEPA filters. These units consume a lot of electricity, and generally are too noisy to be used continuously, particularly in the bedroom. The HEPA filters require constant change and can be expensive. Published test reports show that as the micropores in the HEPA filter are plugged up by captured particles, the unit loses its effectiveness very quickly.
In contrast, STL's electrostatic air purifiers capture airborne particles (including dust, bacteria, viruses, pollen, etc) by charging the surface of the partcles. As air is moved through the unit by specially designed low noise fans, the charged particles are attracted and adhere to oppositely charged stainless steel collector blades. Because captured particles have minimal effect on the electrostatic action, the unit continues to run at nearly the same efficiency even after months of use.
What's more, there is no expensive filter to change. The collector blades slide out of the unit, and the collected particles can be rinsed off easily. Stainless steel construction means there is no worry about rust.
